Calvary Reformation Church Announces Call to Battle 2026 in Chesapeake
Two-day Christian conference will apply Scripture to doctrine, life, politics, race, family, culture and sexual ethics.
CHESAPEAKE, VA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Calvary Reformation Church will host Call to Battle 2026: Overthrowing the Idols, Lessons from the Life of Josiah, a two-day Christian conference taking place October 16–17 in Chesapeake, Virginia.
The conference will feature nine sessions addressing theological and cultural issues facing Christians and churches, with an emphasis on applying the authority of Scripture rather than political party platforms, cultural trends or popular opinion.
The 2026 theme draws from the biblical account of King Josiah, whose reforms included removing idolatry and restoring the Word of God to its proper place among the people.
Bishop Carlton C. McLeod, Senior Founding Pastor of Calvary Reformation Church, said the central conflict behind contemporary idols remains the same.
“Ultimately, it comes down to this: man’s word versus God’s Word. We’re going to apply the Word of God to all these things that you see within culture, all these things that are talked about on social media, and ask the right question: what thus saith the Lord?”
Conference sessions will address abortion and the value of human life, the lordship of Christ and politics, race and ethnicity, biblical family order, Christian culture, and holiness and sexual ethics. Each session will be grounded in sound doctrine and the authority of Scripture.
Organizers say Call to Battle is intended to move beyond merely identifying cultural problems. Each session will seek to define the issue biblically, examine it through Scripture and offer pastoral counsel for Christians seeking to live faithfully in areas where biblical teaching conflicts with prevailing cultural assumptions.
Speakers for the 2026 conference include Bishop Carlton C. McLeod, along with Pastors Don Carey, Jamal Hill and Harry Profit of Calvary Reformation Church. Sessions will be held over two days at Calvary Reformation Church in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Call to Battle 2025 drew 272 attendees, and organizers expect this year’s conference to surpass that turnout.
Call to Battle is part of Calvary Reformation Church’s broader emphasis on developing a biblical worldview, equipping Christians and households to hold fast to sound doctrine and apply Scripture to family life, culture and public life.
